1 Samuel 1:23 “Whatever you think is best,” Elkanah agreed. “Stay here for now, and may the Lord help you keep your promise.” So she stayed home and nursed the boy until he was weaned.
Praise God. Beloved agreement in a home can really help you keep to your vow with God, also working with the right person can help you keep your promises to God.
Brethren it’s good to marry a man/woman that understands you and seek your interest. Hannah’s husband Elkanah was a man full of understanding, he allowed Hannah do according to her vow to God, “1 Samuel 1:11 And she made this vow: “O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, if you will look upon my sorrow and answer my prayer and give me a son, then I will give him back to you. He will be yours for his entire lifetime, and as a sign that he has been dedicated to the Lord, his hair will never be cut.”
Many men will not let their wives to do that, they will say "I am the man of the house, yes you can take him to the bethel any time you want but don’t offer him totally to the Lords service". Apart from that most women will not keep to that vow rather they will say God understands but Hannah remembered her tears and how Peninnah would taunt her and make fun of her because the Lord had kept her from having children, when Samuel was weaned Hannah fulfilled her vow/promise to the Lord, they brought along a three year old bull for the sacrifice and a basket of flour and some wine, the sacrifice was made, Elkanah/Hannah offered their son to service in the Lords tabernacle forever, because she asked and the Lord gave.
Beloved there is always joy in unity and obedience.
G🍀🍀D M🍀RNING and God bless you. Shalom.
