Crucify

 

Matthew 27:21 So the governor asked again, “Which of these two do you want me to release to you?”The crowd shouted back, “Barabbas”.

Praise God. This morning I find this verse of the scripture more interesting because the world wants good things but hate good people.

The story of our Savior is so pathetic, showing how the world prefer evil to prevail over good.

Jesus Christ did not do anything bad or was He offensive, He only preached the truth of the gospel which was bitter to the hearing of the high priests, the elders and the religious rulers to accept their faults/wrongs, so with envy they plot to kill Him. Pilate after his investigation and view he found out Jesus was innocent, but the high priest etc envied Him, and want Him dead. Matthew 27:17-18.

Brethren they shouted back in response to Pilate question give us “Barabbas” And crucify “Innocent Jesus”.

This is the more reason why we believers should live a holy and a righteous life, there will be a time when the world will publicly prefer unbelievers (evil) to believers (good) what will be your faith then, I encourage us in the Name of Jesus Christ to start doing what God as sent us to do on earth.

Note: Our days are numbered. It is coming (Persecution of the Saints) no matter how innocent you are, it will not matter to them.
